About TimeandTool
TimeandTool is a modern time and date utility platform. We're building a faster, cleaner alternative to legacy date/time websites — with a mobile-first design, offline support via PWA, and a free developer API.
Our mission: Make time utilities beautifully simple. Every tool should load in under 1.5 seconds, work on any device, and require zero sign-up.
We built TimeandTool because the best time and date tools on the internet were either locked behind paywalls, cluttered with ads, or built on stale data. Every tool on this platform is free, fast, and privacy-respecting — we don't sell data, track behavior across sites, or require accounts for basic functionality.
What we offer
- 30+ free time & date tools
- Free REST API with 1,000 requests/day
- PWA support — install on any device
- Offline-capable calculators and timers
- Zero-clutter design — one tool per page
Tech stack
Built with Next.js (App Router), Supabase, Tailwind CSS, and deployed on Vercel. All calculators run client-side — no server roundtrip needed.
Sunrise, sunset, and moon phase calculations run on pure TypeScript implementations of Jean Meeus's astronomical algorithms — the same methods used by observatories and navigation systems. Public holiday data is sourced from the Nager.Date open-source dataset and refreshed monthly. Time zone rules use the IANA Time Zone Database — the authoritative source used by every operating system on the planet.
Our Expert Team
All content on TimeandTool is reviewed by domain experts to ensure accuracy and depth. Our contributors include an astrophysicist, a geospatial engineer, a cultural historian, and a senior software engineer — each bringing years of real-world experience to the topics they cover.

Data Sources & Accuracy
- →Sunrise & Sunset: Jean Meeus astronomical algorithms (Astronomical Algorithms, 2nd ed.), verified against USNO data.
- →Moon Phases: Lunar phase calculation via elongation angle; accuracy within ±1 minute of official tables.
- →Public Holidays: Nager.Date open-source holiday database, updated monthly via ISR.
- →Time Zones: IANA Time Zone Database (tzdata) — the authoritative standard used by all major operating systems.
